Parade For This LGBTQ Pride Ride on Your Scooters & Bikes!
On July 2nd, 2009, Delhi High Court had decriminalized homosexuality, when the LGBTQ found a new hope for equality. However, the decision was reversed in 2013 by the Supreme Court of India. Nonetheless, 2nd July continues to be a milestone in LGBTQ community and people continue to celebrate.
To express and celebrate the freedom of LGBTQ diversity, SCRUFF & Those In Need is organizing a Bike Pride Ride on the same day through the streets of Delhi. People who like (not likely) to ride do join and support this movement with an open heart. To be a part of it, you can also bring posters or banners but should be on a bike.
It is an excellent approach to show your love for peace and happiness amidst of everyday chaos. Supporting a cause is bigger than that extra sleep time as there’s a spark of kindness that always keeps us going.
It was rare instances when we intended to get it celebrate. So, hop on your two-wheelers whether a bike, scooter, scooty or a cycle. You can even come along with your family and friends as a pillion rider.
The ride will kick start from South Extension II Market Parking Area at 6:30 AM and will be completed at Jantar Mantar. And it’s going to be smooth if you register in advance or even without registration one can show up to the event.
