Last week I traveled to Goa, India for business purpose. Once I completed my check-in formalities at the New Delhi Airport, Terminal 3, it was time to spend the next hour before boarding the flight. So my friend and me decided to go for the Plaza Premium Lounge.
This lounge is Located on the mezzanine floor overlooking the entire airport, the Lounge provides a great view. The ambience of the Lounge is bright and airy with glass panels, spacious area, and a combination of warm and subtle colours enhancing the décor which is ideal for guest looking forward to have a refreshing time before their take off.
Mezzanine Level, Terminal 3, Domestic Departures, Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
24 hours daily
At the reception they asked for tickets and photo identification and then after we went inside, Lounge is a nice cozy place with comfortable sofas in the sitting area combined with all the necessary services and delicious food. You can also choose to sit on tall chairs by the bar, next to the snack section. They also have flight display board for quick updates on flight status.
The bar looks impressive, you can enjoy your leisure time having drinks and food there. They have also started chai counter recently where you can have cup of tea of your choice. On the other side of the tea counter was the food section. There you have soups, mains, fruits, sandwiches and sweet options.
We reached there in the morning, the breakfast spread was quite good and there were two live counters one for eggs and one for dosa, apart from the regular breakfast options we tried few dishes from the street food festival which they were running that time. The food was moderately spicy and good for those who like to eat light.
Aloo Tikki with Chole
As soon as this dish came to my table I was like wow … this was amazingly delicious with the right amount of spices and tanginess.
This is a well known and loved by Indian street food lovers. The presentation was very good and it tasted equally good too. Light on stomach but rich in taste do try this … Recommended!!
Then we tried this dish that was full of flavors. Kulcha’s were soft, fresh and delicious in taste.
Then we tried dosa from the live counter. We asked for plain dosa with filling on the side so that we can try it as well. dosa was crispy and sambhar was very good. Perfect choice for breakfast
So after the food I had a cup of masala tea.
I found the staff very attentive and polite, variety of food options and worthy place to spend your time.
